Election Board Duties

  • The Secretary is charged with the duties of the daily operations of the Election Board
  • Supervises voter registration, voter outreach and maintains registration records
  • Conducts elections for all municipalities, school districts, and fire districts as well as all Federal, State, and County elections.
  • Provides absentee voting (mail, nursing homes and in-person)
  • Designates polling places
  • Appoints and trains election officials
  • Certifies offical election results, issues certificates of election and conducts contests of candidacy and election recounts.
  • Provides public information for all election related activities
